YAY! Yesterday I went to orchard rd. Cos mum was given $20 metro voucher. Dad was like driving in circles but still couldn't find the metro store. But found it in the end. The parking fee was like damn ex lor, $3 an hr leh. So we had to hurry spend the voucher and get the car. *Finds that all the branded stores are in orchard.* One gaze and you can find dior/chanel/guess/gucci. But the best thing was, they were all on sale! Then we finally bought 2 pairs of shoes for $40 dollars.

Saw this poster for the movie "Surrogates". It was strangely disturbing in a robotic way. Check out the trailer. If you google the poster, type "surrogates poster". Its super creepy.

After that we went to chinatown and had chinese dishes for dinner. i wanted to buy malt candy but couldn't find the store. Too bad.

So I started this new hobby a few days ago. Which is researching the 1900s. AND I find that I love 1950s the most! I like their sense of style and Im dying to learn the Sock Hop, a type of dance (also a type of clothes). Its lively and looks like so much fun! Ok, so I summerized all the decades and you might want to read it for fun.

1920s: Woman's clothes became flappy(figureless) and jazz was popular. They wanted to be comfortable, and not to be feminine. It was a statement of who they were.

1930s: Swing and big band became popular. But fashion did not develop, as a result of the Great Depression (a period of time where the economy was bad). Strangely, villians were thought of as celebrities.

1940s: Radio was in but economy was still quite bad and the average American family back then earned only about $1299.

1950s(my favourite!): It was a time of teenage rebellion. Rock and roll, diners and drive-ins got popular. Marilyn Monroe was highly influencial.

1960s: This was the era of the Smiley face! It was so popular that it could be found on anything. Hippies, promoted peace. Men started to wear hair longer and women wore Maxies(long dresses or skirts) and anything and everything had colour. However, there was the occasional undertone of free love and drugs.

1970s: Disco! Platform shoes! Loud colours and dizzy patterns! This was the era of the 'saturday night fever'. Music evolved and became soft rock. Maxi was still popular.

wa lao today is so lousy. got 2 tests and yesterday got so much homework!! (jaren only sleep for 3 hrs leh!) so i cannot finish and had to chiong the history assignment today during class breaks.

Anyway the sci test was funny. the bonus question ask: What is binomial nomenclature. Someone say(protecting identity here) that it is organisms that are abnormal. make me laugh like siao. i wrote that it was cloned organisms. The answer is system of scientific name for an organisms. yi dan so pro lor, got the answer correct.

Geog test was manageable

1.45 end class wad den 2.30 got shangyin. i was late for half an hour! waste my parent's money. all because of me and the stupid bus. i bought the french fries and then a bit late wad then the bus after 20 min then come! meet kimberly and kai qing at the bus stop. Kimberly borrowed jeffrey's poem. he got 28/30. i got very lan. make me reminisce the old times where i got 37/40 got my essay. anyway, i think jeffrey has a bright future as a writer. if he does,all the fan mails from gullible girls will come pouring in. then no doubt he will become very -hmmm, how do i put this- WOMANISING. (heehee, sry jeffrey)

After shangyin, i wanted to go home but found that i did not have sufficient money to top up my card so i took bus 15 to marine parade library ,borrowed some books and went home.

Suddenly remember the time linda, me and rina rode the school bus. There was one time Linda and i go draw a heart and give to Melvin. Not mervin poh. Is the guy who thought that he owned the school bus. Those were the fun times.

And then linda always got in fights with Tom-SOMETHING(i forgot his name)You noe linda, the fat fat one? And both of you keep spraying water at each other and it was so messy that the three of us was always soaking wet.

Oh yeah, lets not forget the time linda was late and she ran all the way to the other end of the carpark. She was like so paiseh.

Went to library with linda yesterday. At first i couldn't find her then she suddenly jump out and BOO me. 把我吓了一跳。Then she keep laughing.

We took bus 31. On the bus we talk very loud so the uncle in front keep looking at us. We didn't care and continued talking. Now then i realize marine parade library had a 4th level! omg im so dumb. After like how many years of going there! LInda said she was very hungry and wanted to borrow money from me but the cafe food in the library was too expensive liao so we went home.

Im shaken now. Justgot a grasshopper jump into my bedroom. Somemore it was at night, like about 12 midnight! My parents were sleeping. So, at first I called my mom. But she wanted to kill it cos it was easier. However, I was reluctant. The grasshoppper didnt do anything bad what. See, im so compassionate. 仁慈. Humane. 有爱心。Benevolent. Merciful. So, as to spite my mom, I use her beautiful 手工 heart-shaped paper box to catch it.

thurs went to CIP. so fun lor! we had 2 pick litter. in the river and on de floor. we saw a dead fish. den angela go suggest that the fish be 捞出来 be given a burial funny rite?

well i've been reading jonnie the girl lately and i'm proud 2 say tht i finished all 40 chapters. i have been staying up late eveynite 2 read it without my parents knowing. heehee...im so sneaky.

ok, now 2 de main point. the orientation was rather fun 2 my surprise. compared 2 temasek, dunman is so much more fun. my seniors are a cool bunch of pple who r rilly friendly. anyway, we won the most enthu class award when we weren't enthu. AT ALL. the only pple in our class cheering was our senoirs. maybe they heard them cheering and thought itwas us.ha, maybe. then we had 2 put up kits . i tink 1a is the funniest. more like comedy than kit.
